Hi, my name is Dave and this is my first build I have a Rampage IV Gene with the intel i7 3820, amd hd 7950, coolermaster 1000w power supply, a 256 gb OCZ ssd and a 3tb wd spin drive. I am running WIndows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and running 32 gb of Patriot Mamba Ram. I have had my share of issues but figured that was all part of the learning curve. I am stuck now however and been searching forums and cant find a resolution. If this is a repeat issue please send me in the right direction. When I cold start my cpu I cannot go online I have to disable and enable my network adaptor to go online. I noticed the the intel engine management has a yellow question mark on it. I have updated bios, drivers for my network adaptor and the ME. any other ideas? I have made a shortcut on my desktop the the device manager as a quick fix but really annoying. Thanks for your help.

Hello All,

I have been in the IT industry since 1993 and still love hardware builds and gaming.

I have been building up my characters for Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim for over a year now as these are the only two games I play.

I have an avid interest in overclocking and custom builds which I have done for myself in the past (as well as family and friends).

My current rig serves my two game choices very well, however I always change/upgrade (call it an expensive habit I guess)!!

Cheers

Hey guys,

A little about myself - I'm a navy vet. of 22 years. Bought my 1st pc around 1983/84 - An Apple II with 48k. Got hooked on gaming while playing Sirtech's "Wizardry".
I worked on avionic electronic systems in the service - particularly the S-3A/B Viking, built by Lockheed-Grumman.

I play EVE online and Skyrim mostly these days. I also enjoyed the 1st person shooter -FEAR series. When I'm off the pc, I restore classic mustang cars. I also enjoy repairing/building and shooting black powder pistols and rifles.

I'm New to the forum and to ROG in general as I finally updated my pc. My last new desktop was bought in 2002. This is my 1st complete build ever. I am really impressed with my new Asus ROG pc! I have it overclocked to 4.4GHz and I'm very happy with that.

My pc : Maximus Hero VI mb, Intel 4770k, Asus GeForce 660ti directCU II OC vid card, 16gb 1600MHz Team Vulcan ram, Corsair water cooler and 650tx ps, Seagate 1TB Hybrid drive, Asus 24x dvd burner, CM Storm case. 2 Samsung SyncMaster T240HD monitors.

Thanks to the ROG team and all of you for taking the time to answer all the questions and help fix problems. It's appreciated!!

Cheers

@bbs428, glad your system is working out. Those hybrid drives are awesome! (I have one).
@MAXXHEW, there should be plenty of advice on what CPU to get for any budget. 🙂
@im late, nice system - looks like you probably kept the budget down too (better for constant upgrading, XD)! Oh, and this is usually cheaper than modding cars. 😛
@HairySpice, You should be able to get the help you need, just post away, and people will answer and help. That's the nice thing about this forum (and why I stayed), is that people are willing to help out!
@Jayten, no worries about age here! We won't pick on you too much. XD
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Hello,
my name is Franco, I work as free lance technical graphic designer. I live on the hills in Tuscany and I find more friendly wine or olive oil than computers, but unfortunately I have to use them. Very often I have to do some computer activity and I don't know where to start. For this reason I joined this forum.

hi to everyone!
