Is the mic selected as the input in the Skype audio settings? If everything is right there I might try changing it to something else and changing it back. Maybe a setting got corrupted. Other than that I wouldn't know what to suggest.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station…

Have you run through the Mic test in Skype? do any green bars show up when you talk into the mic?

Edit: do you have the latest version installed? I found out once from a friend who was using it, he couldn't get his mic to work....until he had the latest version at the time.

i have tried 3 version
Made changes in the appdata
Reinstalled sound card drivers
Removed some win updates
tried internal/external connectors
Swap mic
Fresh Skype install
Hotfix install

The mic work fine in other apps..

But the mic is not responding in skype..

Well this has me really stumped Grotts, that line on the far right for the indicator is usually only that far out when the loudest sound it detected moves the slider that far....I take it you are using onboard sound?
