New build M6F; UEFI build 1002; 16GB GSkill 2400 RAM; Intel 520 SSD 256GB; Windows 8.1 Pro.

Installed 64bit 8.1with all the updates. All went fine.

PROBLEM:
When I run msinfo32 it states I have a Legacy boot not UEFI.

What did I do wrong and do I have to do a complete erase and install?

Thank You for you assistance

What BIOS settings did you use?

the bios 1002 was set to=====uefi-legacy oprom, csm enabled

How can you convert Legacy boot to uefi boot?

I have updated 8.1 pro with all updates

I have not installed any other asus programs from the install disk because bios 1002 is now missing from the download site!

If your hardware is compliant it is a very easy process simply set the option in Bios and then see if your system works. If it is not (say the Vga is not compliant) then clear CMOS and set it the way it was.

Changed CSM to uefi and F10===message on boot press F1 and select CSM boot

Am I missing something?

I assume the on board video is uefi compliant?

Thank you for your help HiVizMan

If you do not want a legacy install set CSM to disabled and reinstall the operating system.
