Yep, i've already called the death toll on M.2. The above named card is a PCIe SSD that runs on a PCIe 2.0 X8 slot!!! :cool:

It uses a professional/enterprise level controller. No way they can get it to $1/GB unfortunately. But the G.Skill one should be ~half the price of that FusionIO.

I talked to a lot of memory/SSD guys at the show and you're looking at Q4 for most M.2 PCIe cards.

I think it's got to do with something called NVM/NVMe and really? sweet jeebus i'm not gonna look to see what their high end gear is worth haha.
