Ix Hero has worked, keeps re-booting

Hello!

I got a new Maximus IX Hero a few months ago, and everything has been working perfectly.
So yesterday I was watching some YouTube, and suddenly the computer shuts off. Without logging off windows. No BSOD either.

So I try to restart, and the boot goes fine, just unti windows is supposed to start. But it automatically re-boots again. But stops at the same point again.

I then figure, its my ssd that might be dead, so I remove it from boot list, and plug in my windows USB to try and install it on my backup ssd, same thing happens, just when the windows installer is supposed to start, the computer reboots.
I get q code ae and 02 just before the re-boot is initiated.

So I check my ram, they are fine, I check my psu, it's fine, I check the gpu, it's fine.
So I notice there's an update for bios, so I figure I should try and update the my. I did and everything was successful. Then I do the final restart, and the me never boots again 😄

No input from gpu or onboard, no power to usb's nothing.
Fans start, but that's it.

I'm going to try and back flash the me today, and If it still won't start up windows, I'm trying my old Asrock my.

Has anyone had a problem like this?*

I Only have a 3rd MB with an 1155 CPU*

Okay, i cant use the third MB, because i can already see now, that its damaged.

So im going to order a new CPU, just an i5 so i have a backup that doesnt cost that much. Also for if i have to send the Skylake in for RMA.

The CPU is the last thing on the list.

I dont mind, my work computer needs an upgrade anyway, so ill just order a MB and an I5 right away 😄
I choose an I5 7500, should be arriving on Friday.

So Its Friday, and ofc I got asked to stay late for work.

But I have some good news and bad news.
The bad news is, I'm crying.
And the good news is, the new CPU is working.

But it's really wierd, because I tested the same CPU in another board, and that worked. But in the ROG it didn't.
All pins are fine, there's absolute nothing to pin point.

But I guess, I'm settles, and I just have to make an RMA on the skylake.

Thank you so much for your help, all my work, center around my computer, so without it I'm helpless.*

You're welcome

It took a little bit but you finally found it, good to hear you're up and running.

Intel is pretty quick with their RMA's, get it in the mail tomorrow. 🙂
