Is this thermal paste or insulant ?

Hi, sorry for asking dumb question but this thing confused me as its not GPU & CPU.

Please look only red marked areas (not cpu/gpu):



What it is, Thermal Paste or some kind of insulant. Where can i buy it if its not thermal paste?

also i am asking because its a diff paste than which one is on cpu and gpu in my laptop.

Я думаю лучше использовать жидкие, сейчас в современных ноутбуках применяется жидкие термопрокладки. У нас в России можно купить K5 PRO, у вас не знаю какие https://k5pro.ru/

thank you. sadly i can not find it in india we have only thermal pads not thermal pads in liquid form.

we do have thermal paste.. will that work?

Yes. Paste to replace paste. Thermal pads to replace thermal pads. When replacing pads make sure you have the same thickness.

thanks. sadly there is no liquid thermal pad available in India.. looks like i will have to use solid thermal pad or thermal paste instead,

Everything you highlighted is paste. Sometimes you'll see pads but if that's how it came from the factory it doesn't look like they used any.

Нельзя туда термопасту мазать, нужно просто ровно размазать, что на чипах нанесено и постараться найти жидкую термопрокладку
