Good day,
I bought myself an Asus GL553VE the day before yesterday. This was available in the shop for 700€ without operating system to buy. Since I'm not the fan of Windows 10 (because the operating system affects a lot of computers), I decided to install Windows 7 on my laptop. The installation went smoothly the first time. Everything has been installed. But as soon as you start Windows, a blue screen appears and the laptop starts again. Then it starts again, but only until "Windows is loading" and then crashes again, I reinstalled Windows 7 because at first I thought something went wrong during the installation. But this was not the case. In total I tried to install Windows 7 4 times, different versions but nothing worked. They said on the Internet that I should try the image program "Rufus". However, there are 3 settings:
MBR Partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI computers (did not work)
MBR Partition schene for for UEFI computers (not tried yet)
GPT partition scheme for UEFI computers (I was able to install Windows 10, but Windows 7 does not work)
Also, I don't know exactly which file system to use, NTFS or FAT32?
I read on the internet that new computers only run with GPT partitions. I did that, but it doesn't work. Another forum member said that it is no longer possible to install Windows 7 on Asus laptops / computers, since Asus itself rewrote the bios, which only accepts Windows 8 and 10.
I would be happy to get some answers, as I am slowly getting tricky and regret buying the laptop...
