Installing newer Realtek drivers

So i like to have the very latest Realtek drivers but am wondering if me not having the same drivers as is released under the AUDIO here

will it mess up the onboard sound (supreme fx)

The latest realtek drivers are like 10 versions ahead of what ASUS is posting. I'm not happy being so far behind.

So if i install the very latest Realtek drivers , will that mean Supreme fx wont work as intended ?
Do Asus actually take the drivers and tinker with them and then release them themselves or are they just super slow ?

in anticipation of this, i feel you should do a system backup prior to actually updating things.

then try updating the drivers and see if it messes anything up, and you'll have your answer.
