How Long Should This Motherboard last?

Hello,

Firstly didn't know the correct place to post this so I post it here.

Now I have the Asus P8B75-MLX how long should I expect out of this board before it dies and never turns on again?

I run a gaming channel that i'm trying to get big so I do video editing and carn't afford the PC to crash so I need to know that way I know when to save for a better motherboard (maybe asus again) in the future to keep me going.

It is a lot of hard work that I do not want to go out the window I lost A few projects in the past due to computer failures and not having enough money to replace it on time to keep up the good work that's going on.

Thanks Again.

not easy to predict.
it can be taken down by powersurge, heat ( mainly from CPU cooler over heating ( will shut down to prevent damage of course ) ), +++.
i have a couple of old pc's that runs fine, only thing ive changed on them is PSU and bios battery.
the oldest is slow compare to the one i have now.
can be its becouse its IDE hdd thats main drive 😛
but all in all its realy hard to tell.
like a car it can die on you tomorrow, the same can a pc.
or enny thing else.

Cars and PCs have things in commons they both have fans 😉

At least I do have A phone for some sort of backup but not as powerful as A real PC.

What is a cheap motherbpard? hard to tell if my motherboard is cheap, medium or expensive range

Thanks again!

cheap or expensive, i have it all.
have lasted years. last 3 boards have been in the ROG series, one before that MSI.
and before that? it was a 433mhz( if i dont remember mutch wrong ) pc 😛
just as long as you dust bust it now and then. ( compressed air ).
is it running 24/7 or you shut down at night?
i think whit me when it starting to slow down it may have been the HDD's, life times on them is limited.
have had those that lasted 3 month or up to several years.
lost a few files so to say when they did die.
so if you have a backup ( backup media ) in case one of the hdd's dies you dont loose enny/too mutch data 🙂

HDD can die anytime since it is spinning all the time and anything can happen I just keep back up my files for now and upgrade the SDD when I can afford it.
And it gets turned on everyday depending what i'm doing still looking for A job since I have just finished school so that should limit the time I am on it when I get one for now it is around 14 hours a day on weekends 6 hours a day including night.

So it doesn't run 24/7 but does run often.

Well, with respect, if it's that mission critical you should have gone for TUF - 5 year warranty and made to work 24/7 in all environments. It's cheaper than a WS. That's what we make em for!

It is my first desktop so maybe in A couple of years I might be able to upgrade 😉

from what I read up the current board is made for gaming so it would be built for intense use.
