How did you get to ROG

Very open border on this Republic...no passport needed just enthusiasm for ROG hardware.

Was remembering how I got here today and wondered how others found the site?

I was setting up my RIVE and had a question about VCCSA that was answered almost immediately and succinctly by some guy called Raja. Looked around and saw there were some questions I could answer and I've been here ever since on and off...learning as much as, if not more than, I pass on...

You guys?

Back in the day I purchased a K8V. I lurked around a bit. Then I purchased my Maximus III formula and started OC on that board. Learned a lot from the ROG. Great forums - Great People here for sure. 🙂

Hi Chris hope all is well on the family front.

I sold my soul

Nah, not really. Back in late 2011, I had the money for the rig I wanted. Ordered it, but, had to wait for a supplier to open and send my NZXT Phantom 410(it was Christmas time) so, one day in early-ish Jan 2012 I was looking at all the shiny new hardware in their boxes, I decided to have a look at the CHVF box and there it was "rog.asus.com/forum" so I thought "ooooh, hardware Forum. I need to catch up(since i lost touch with the industry) let's see what this Forum is all about" so, I showed up and I haven't never left . This place is most definitely my online Home 😄

And I am definitely suffering a ROG Hardware addiction and I go through withdrawals whenever those buttheads mess with the Forums.

I joined right around the time that I was building my desktop MVE system. The forums were a big encouragement and help to me during the process. I had a G73jh for two years already by that time, but usually posted on the Notebook forums, which I still visit on occasion. But I spend more time here. The thread on updating the vBIOS on the G73 gave me enough info to take THAT plunge. I still find stuff out and help if I can around here. Now I have two G73's and the MVE.

I was checking for some sort of community after getting my new laptop. Not a bad decision for me to veer off the beaten path. Besides, I could use some help from time to time, and having some "insurance", so to speak, could some in handy.

Besides, it's always a nice thing to meet new, mostly like-minded people.

Few years ago I started to get into gaming and wanted to find a "gaming laptop". I got my Asus ROG g53sx on sale during black friday and was super excited about it and ended up becoming a member on here.To this day I'm still using it and now i'm slowly trying to build up and get more Asus/ROG stuff. Been happy with the products I got from them so I've just become a fan 🙂 I've even gotten other friends and cousins who were interested in looking into upgrading to buy Asus ROG laptops XD
