Hello all - don't like coffee so give me tea.......or some coke ( cola 😛 )

Any ways after wasting a few years I decided to go to tech and get a semi decent qualification, I'm currently doing a HNC in Electrical and Electronic engineering, and as the 2 year course is nearly up I've been looking around for something in that field (well actually anything that will get me out of my current job haha) and seen a few weeks ago that a company called Bombardier is recruiting for apprentices in electrical engineering so filled in their online form and got a reply last Friday saying that I have to go to Belfast (about 35 miles down the road) to do an aptitude test.
Went to the test yesterday, first test was verbal comprehension which was actually quite easy TBH, the second test was Numerical Computation, now math's would be one of my stronger point, and I worked as fast as I could but I couldn't get the test finished, got to the 6th page, didn't even get to see the 7th lol, and its not that the questions were overly difficult, it was the time limit, 36 q's in 10 minutes, the questions were arranged sort of like 17 ? 16 = 34 X 8 etc of 75% of 12.44 etc. I know the questions I answered I got right but as I said I couldn't get the test finished.
Third test was on Visual estimation, where each question shows you 5 shapes all of a similar size but some raised slightly higher or lower than others to throw you off and you have to choose the 2 that are the same size (there's always 2) but the shapes got a lot more complex as the test went on (and again a very strict time limit)
The last test was mechanical comprehension, each question would show a number of pictures, some of wheel cogs or fo a lever and you had to answer questions such as - which lever would be easiest to push down, is the lever moves in the direction shown in what way would X move, is this cog moves anti-clockwise how many of the remaining (7) cogs move clockwise, this at the start seemed simple but the questions got progressively harder and again a very strict time frame.
After the test the two people from the company said that there was going to be a few more weeks of testing (ther was around 30 people sitting the test in the group I was in) and that we should hear word back after then, with interviews for chosen applicants in late may/june.

In summary - damn aptitude tests! lol I know I did rather good on the first 2 tests ( confident that I got all the questions I answered correct, except I did miss out some math questions) and I did the best I could in the last 2 just have to wait and see, talking to 1-2 of the other applicants when we were in between getting 1 test and collection of the other with the vocal point being stupid time lol.

This ended up being a larger post than intended so apologies and also apologies foe terrible grammar and spelling

Van Bronckhorst: Oh yaye!

A trio of well-known Asian fellows also frequented the gentleman’s club. They were well known to me, we’d often sit by the fireplace on the first floor sharing a glass or two of port. Ranjit Singh was the most prominent of the trio, a fiercely inquisitive man at least in the sense of assessing one’s financial status. So much so, that he was affectionately referred to as "Income Singh" by those that knew him. Singh was a man steeped in both Indian and English heritage and proud to show it off whenever opportunity allowed. When I told him about my latest property acquisition “Oh yaye! You will need the services of Van Bronckhorst(sh)”, he replied. Note the sh in brackets denotes Singh’s Sean Connery-esque pronunciation. We often mock him about this by calling him “Income Singh(sh)”. Ha!!

Hmm.. I've been thinking of what stories I can tell and I have a few related to dreaming. There's also been all over 9gag posts about lucid
dreaming and OBE(out of body experiences) and after you hear about my weird and strange dreams you'll see why I would never wanna experience those.

But before talking about nightmares I'm gonna start with something strange but at the same time very interesting.

I had this dream one time that I was married to some older rich guy that was buying me alot of stuff. A couple of days later, some guy in his 40s from Belgium contacts me on yahoo. I continue talking cause I don't wanna be rude and he ends up saying that he wants to buy me gifts and flowers. He even said he has friends in Romania and they can deliver the flowers. I said I'm not interested and we stopped talking after a few days. I forgot about the dream so I didn't think it had any connection.

A few days later I had another dream. I was in the army with some other guys and we were hiding or running from someone. We had a huge tent and I was involved with one of the guys. One day later another guy contacts me on yahoo. I don't remember how they came in contact with my email but they were the ones finding me. So this guy was in the American army, has been to Irak, and at that time had recently left Romania, been here a couple of days. So after talking I remebered about my dream and I was shocked. It was weird but also fascinating. We kept in touch up to this day but don't really talk that often.

I don't want to make this post any longer so I'll continue with the horror dreams a lil' later 😛

Income Singh(sh), shows an enviable portfolio of business cards

Shortly after recommending Van Bronckhorst, Income Singh(sh), drew a finely crafted deerskin wallet from his dog-tooth jacket. The wallet was veritably bulging with business cards. He proceeded to pop his monocle into position and set out on the arduous task of seeking Bronckhorst’s card. I recall vividly thinking of why Singh(sh) did not have the cards placed in alphabetical order. It was at this point that something profound took place. Singh(sh) glared at me over the top of his monocle while his fingers scuttled through the deck of business cards - multi-tasking of the highest order I believe. He said “I suppose you are wondering why this deck is not in alphabetical order aren’t you dear fellow!?!”, “yes!” I replied. “it is placed in the order of financial hierarchy, PeteyPoops”, he chortled.
