G751JY; SATA thickness support

My G751JY came with a ST2000LM003 (9.5mm thick), wondering if anyone has upgraded their SATA drive to anything thicker ? i.e. 15.5mm ? Too thick ?

My first thought is 1/4 of an inch height in a laptop is a huge change and I personally wouldn't recommend it. But I don't own that model so can't confirm. Perhaps someone else can weigh in, but that's a very specific application question and if you haven't already, you should shoot an email or phone call to Asus about that.

Yeh... I would agree. it is a big change.. Just trying to get more Tb from a Sata 2.5inch form factor that was all...
