Driver Updates

I have many Asus products, reall like the kit, but what is really annoying is the lack of driver updates, my MAXIMUS V GENE hasnt had a official driver update since 2012, yet i noticed my aging Gigabyte M/b gets very regular updates, is there a good reason for this

I would suggest the reason is that your Gene does not require any updates to fix issues. As to why the Giga boards do I will not comment on.

One of the faeries at the end of my garden told me it takes the G team a while to dissect an ASUS BIOS and implement the changes...I was shocked at the implication and went back to confront them but this coincided with a change of medication and they haven't been back since...so you'll have to take that with a pinch of salt.....

Other manufacturers of Motherboards recommend the latest drivers from Intel for their motherboards, Asus do not for there GENE V, they still aadvise using 2 year old drivers when the OS is windows 7, seems strange at the very least

... ** there are some sites that deliver better updates to drivers, per manufacturer, on a much more regular basis.. (WHQL, None WHQL and beta)..., i visit station-drivers on a regular basis for my driver needs, asus isnt very willing to give out up to date drivers..., prolly the term: if it aint broke dun try to fix it is in the back of they're minds 24/7 or so....

thats EZupdate.., but it'll only refer to the drivers that are released on the asus website.., on my RIVE (wich i ran for about 1 year or so before going RIVBE i only once got an update through EZupdate ^^, and it was a update for EZupdate itself XD
