Docking station compatibility

Hello!,

I like to attach additional monitors to my laptop's USB port via below docking station. I am already using my laptop's HDMI and mini display port to hook other 2 monitors.

The laptop I have is ASUS GL702ZC, did anyone have any luck trying to get the display via USB?

Before I bought https://i.imgur.com/PoiSokZ.png but had to send it back as it didn't work with my Laptop's USB-C after doing a bit of research I realized the GL702ZC USB-C does not support display mode over USB-C.

Thanks,
Sam

I believe the docking station you linked is just standard USB, not type-c thunderbolt. That means it is essentially a USB video adapter. It actually presents itself as an additional display adapter to the system(like adding a low-end video card). Hence it will work with Windows and you will be able to extend your desktop to it but it would not be a good gaming device. It will be somewhat laggy and may have limited refresh options. Fine for productivity and probably OK for Youtube. Hope that makes sense?
