Same here 9700k at 5ghz all cores, no difference to previous bios, voltage reading are the same too.

Reporting in...I'm sitting pretty at the big 5ghz as well after BIOS update. All is well.

Glad to hear you all aren't having issues. I wonder why it caused problems for some and not others. Manufacturing of the MB perhaps?

Nevertheless, Asus pulled the 1105 from their download support page. As of right now, the most up-to-date BIOS you can download is the 1005.

Guys...I can say that I've had zero issues with bios 1105.....I can also say that I have not encountered any issue whatsoever using the bios flashback to revert back to any previous bios released for the Maximus XI Extreme as others have reported....and as of today...bios 1105 is still available and has not been pulled for this board....

Glad you had zero issues. Wish I could have been that lucky. But no, 1105 is not available. At least, not from the official ASUS page. See the pic below. 1105 is not longer a download option. (EDIT: the following is for the Formula. According to a post below, it's still available for the Hero at least. Maybe others).

Huh, now that is interesting. I wonder if only certain boards are having problems with it? I don't remember looking upstream in the thread, but was anyone on the Hero board talking about problems they were having?

Hey folks, I have an issue regarding the latest BIOS update for Asus Maximus XI Hero.
Shortly after flashing the new BIOS I started to get cold boots and failures to boot, I was planning on buying on a new PSU and I did (the cold boots kind of encouraged me to do so)
but the problem still persists. Everything works fine and the system is running well.

PC specs:
9900K 5.2GHz cache 4.8GHz
G.Skill Trident Z Royal 3600MHz CL17
GTX 1080
Samsung 512GB 970 PRO NVME drive

Your issues may be more related to your overclock than with the bios...if you are using same settings as from previous bios you may need to make some minor adjustments with newer bios as what works in one bios may not work with newer /.updated bios.

at these point on the code xi is ok. At least so far.
Learn, Play Enjoy! We help and collaborate, NOT complain!

The version 1105 is still available for the Hero XI.

I also overclocked my 9900k for the first time using this version.
Spent around 40h (crazy I know) testing stability using Aida64, OCCT and IntelBurnTest. Everything is fine here!
