Hi everyone,

You can update your Intel ME firmware through this thread : https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?111069-FIRMWARE-Intel-ME-(3xx-Serie)

I did. unless the these was first before the bios. I try MoKuChU. on 4 formula xi. same results on the windows errors in windows applications on load, nvidia drivers dropping. lag on boot. I try on stock settings and xmp 1. as soon the bios change to 1005 all issues where gone. I will try again later next week on my machine since still need to finish another 3 builts, and a WS Z390 Pro on monday

I've just updated to Bios 1105 from the Asus ROG website.. Running 1005 in my ROG MAXIMUS XI CODE successfully thougt I would give it a go. I've never had an issue like im having now.
My computer will reboot, then go into setup several time before stability is reached.
The performance is below what I had in the previous Bios 1005. Trouble is I cant go back to the earlier BIOS, Ive updated since 0602 thru the BIOS using the USB Flash with no issues. Now Im gettint an error stating all previous file are not a bios file. Im at a loss as to corerct this, anyone have a suggestion?
I have reformated my usb drive to FAT 32, re-downloaded the previous BIOS files, still the same error.

Any help is appreciated.

MarvC

Hi,

When you do a BIOS rollback using USB BIOS Flashback, you have to rename the .CAP file according to your motherboard, for your motherboard it's M11C.CAP

I've tried that still the same error. Not a proper BIOS file... Can you reame the file or uses the ASUS rename utility?

Thanks,
MarvC

Try formatting the usb in fat32, and get a old one if you can. i did experience these myself. before applying the new bios, load defaults in bios, and safe. go to bios again. i get small usb on different brands in cases like these.

Nope,
I've exhausted everything except for contacting ASUS, after upgrading to BIOS 1105 I cannot go back to any previous version of Bios from that point. I had no issues before going from 602 all the way to 1005 absolutey no isuues. Unless this version has blocked downgrading back to older BIOS I have no idea whats happend. It ony states that the selected file is not a proper BIOS...

ROG MAXIMUS XI CODE motherboard.
