I saw @Silent Scone@ASUS indicate previously that you can now restore BIOS settings between different versions - is that from a particular version only? I am still on 0603 - could I save settings on that version and restore to 1105, for example?

If this is real, I would like to know how to do it. I think it is nearly 20 years that I take a photo of all the bios settings, page by page, each time before I update to a new BIOS version.
If this is now changed and we can restore the previous BIOS settings between BIOS updates then I would compare it to the advent of SSDs over HDDs in terms of technological advancement.

So far on bios 1105 I see one thing changed at least for XI Hero: CPU current capability max is now 140% down from 170%. Don't know if it matters anyway. Will do some testing tomorrow.

I have noticed the same with Formula XI on 1105 CPU current capability max is now 140% down from 170%.

I'm also not exactly sure on how affecting this will be for my 5ghz overclock on 9900k however even from changing from Auto to 140% with everything adaptive voltage auto I can see it wants to draw a little more power although I'm still stable however since the upgrade I have not done full stress testing yet.

I cannot understand why ASUS would want to take features away in bios updates I should not have to LN2 jumper if it was available in the first place.

Can anyone please help defuse my impatience with the lack of communication on what exactly gets updated on these bios revisions?

ASUS are you even aware of this and why???

No Bios update for the Hero XI Wi-Fi. Still showing 1005.

It worked on my Maximus Hero XI! I am very happy!

I saved the previous BIOS settings (v1005) on a USB stick, and flashed the BIOS with v1105.
I restarted a couple of times and tried to reload the previously saved settings, and it just worked.
As usual I took pictures anyway, just in case, so I can confirm that all the previous settings were reapplied correctly in all the sections, but the Boot Logo Display that got re-enabled.

I lost two of the previous configuration settings that are not shown anymore:
- CPU VRM Thermal Control in "Extreme Tweaker->External Digi+ Power Control" disappeared (but maybe it is just now hidden)
- IOAPIC 24-119 Entries in "Advanced/PCH Configuration" also disappeared

All the rest is Ok.

Flashed here on my XI, everything working as is.

I installed the v1105 BIOS through the UEFI internet update but it still didn't update the ME version to v12.0.39. My ME version is still v12.0.35.1427 which was installed via the ME Update Tool. Why isn't the ME version updated along with the BIOS update?
