I have the ROG Maximus Extreme XI. I'm also not sure which to install and why are the sizes of these so small. If I download the driver from ASUS support page for my mobo it is 189 Mbytes. Also what does UAD mean? I read somewhere these are modded drivers and not official. IS this correct?

There was a thread here explaining the difference between HDA & UAD but I can't find it. The main difference is size and the UAD are for Win10 only.

These are official releases from Realtek.

Thanks guys! I installed the ROG SS3 and it seems to have fixed the issue I was having with Realtek Console.

I can confirm that the issue with Firefox and Sonic Studio is gone, equalizer settings are always applied. Tested for 2 days without problems, thank you for updates :- )

seems the newest drivers removed the amplifier setting from the realtek control center. My 7.1 headset required it set to extreme to not be too quiet, and now.. i get what I get evidently.

I think it's just bugged and this setting is just dissapearing, but it works all the time. Try unplugging and plugging your device, it works in my case and I can change amplifier setting again 🙂
