Hi,
I do not mention Z390 because it is a thread that does not concern Z390 which uses a new/different branch of Intel ME firmware (12.x.xx.xxxx) which can not be flashed directly into standalone, but must be prepared with the Intel PMC (Power Management Controller) firmware corresponding to the chipset and chipset stepping, in short all that to say that to avoid any handling error concerning the flash of Intel ME firmware on Z390, I do not propose it, I'd rather let ROGers with a Z390-based motherboard get their Intel ME firmware via a BIOS update or when a standalone installer (Intel ME + PMC firmwares) is offered on the ROGers motherboard support page.
However for information, here for Z390 the Intel ME firmware affected :

Hi,
No, the microcode has nothing to do with the Intel ME firmware. The microcode is updated only through a BIOS update or via Windows Update.
