Sorry to be a lurker but, what's the best bios at the moment? Apparently 1401 is the best from what i read in these comments.

1704 was generally fine and 1801 seems good for most from what I can tell. Maybe lower cieling for ultra high mem clocks

make sure you downloaded for the right MB, USB Drive is formatted as FAT32. Some boards tend not to like NTFS formatted drives. Pretty sure the bios file doesn't come in a rar file either, it should be .zip

i have updated the bios tons of times , usb is empty in fat 32 and i have used the same usb stick for the last 2 years updating bioses including all the revisions from the x hero .
i extract the 1401 to the usb go to easy flash and nota . this is not a proper bios file . and yes it was for the x hero wifi i have had the page for asus x hero wifi saved as my home page since i bought the board .
maybe 1401 is to old to let me revert back the normal way ?

Use the USB BIOS procedure on page 2-14 in the Asus Rog X Hero Z-370 ( Wifi ) manual (English) to revert to BIOS 1401. That is the only way I could flash an updated BIOS to an older BIOS.

Rename the bios file...M10H.cap...use the bios flashback method.

For the first time ever, as I posted in another thread, ASUS BIOS actually caused my system to be less stable. I had to up CPU voltage to 1.37v, which, in reality, is 1.385v to stay stable at 5Ghz with AVX offset of 2.

Same here. Had to up Vcore slightly to maintain full stability.

Vcore: 13.55v
5.1 MHz

I'll stay on 1701 until the next one rolls around I guess.
