1105 is super unstable on XI Extreme.
How can I revert to 1005, EZ Flash refuses to load the file, complaining about wrong format. Is that because of ME code updated by 1105?

Thanks, just tried, doesn't work either, flashback light turns solid after blinking as if unrecognizable format.

Pretty sure this is new ME, not backward compatible with older BIOS.

Well at least for some USB Flashback worked, will try to clean CMOS and give it another go.
1105 is a really bad release, stay away folks.

I don't seem to have an issue and I also installed the latest ME firmware 12.0.40.1433

Can't even tell how much better that makes me and the rest of the guys facing problems feel. Thank you!

Success at last, nothing worked until I've tried different USB media. Used some ancient SD card reader with MicroSD in USB Bios Flash port, and voila, back to 1005.
Seems like 1105 does have some USB compatibility issues.
Thanks everyone for help and steering into the right direction.

BIOS update 1201. I've downloaded the latest bios version 1201 onto a USB and unzipped it, there is no biosrenamer tool, do I need to rename the file if updating from within bios. When update 1105 came out I had the required name and manually changed it and it updated fine. I can't find the name I used before. I believe it was some thing like this xxx100.CAP but am not sure. Some good advice would be very welcome.

You only need matching name for USB Flashback, EZ Flash can read any file.
Here's the list of names

Thank you, that was exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely save the name this time.
