Thread updated.

Hello,

ROG Maximus X Code, there is no sound with this driver,
I went back to the previous version to have sound, strange I do not get any error.
When unzipping the archive I received an error with winrar, I had to use 7zip to get no error while unzipping!

,

So I was struggling to resolve that nasty "can't connect to RPC server" issue with Realtek Audio Console recently.
I have ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero WIFI MB, clean win10 1903 install, tried everything, standard drivers from Asus support web page, new drivers from ROG forums, some other 3rd party sources without any luck... Clean install, registry and traces clean - all related software components in Device manager seems to be working but Audio Console doesn't.
In despair, absolutely randomly was browsing tenforums on Realtek HDA drivers thread and somebody just mentioned the very same issue with the solution, which was very unexpected:

There is a system service REaltek Audio Universal Service which is running just fine but Audio console still doesn't want to.
BUT as it turned out, there is a missing autorun entry, which runs THE VERY SAME executable AGAIN, but under current user context, makes no sense to me, but it's freaking works now.
2 full days of troubleshooting... maaan...

in the registry path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
you have to manually add an entry (refer to existing ones or google how to add)
C:\WINDOWS\System32\RtkAudUService64.exe -background

OR run the same command manually for immediate effect
(Realtek Audio Universal Service still needs to be running.)

now all 3 apps are working fine and I finally could swap central and sub channels which drove me crazy.

And also MS store direct links for those who's also struggling finding that:

Sonic Studio

I installed the latest version of the driver, now I have sound but can not adjust the sound of the equalizer and the soni studio does not open.
The sound stays the same even if you choose another equalizer configuration profile in the realtek audio controller interface

I went back to the old version that works smoothly!

Thanks for the update.

After updating I am now suffering the slow program startup (Chrome/Firefox) etc.

I tried to go back a version but it did not solve the issue. Nahimic service is causing the slowdown.

Hello Guys.

I have a ROG Strix Z370-F motherboad and I never had problems until a week ago. I was using the driver/apps from "DRV_Audio_RTK_SZ_Nahimi_TSD_W10_64_VER6018666_20190611R.zip", that I got on the official page from my motherboard. Everything works. But almost one week ago, the "Microsoft Store" updated the "Sonic Studio 3" and asked me to restart the computer. I did and after that, the "Realtek Audio Console" get stuck on the "splash" screen. The "Sonic Studio 3" app open with no problem and I have sound. The only problem are the Realtek app.

I tried uninstall everything and install again, I tried to use the old "Sonic Studio 3" from "DRV_Audio_RTK_SZ_Nahimi_TSD_W10_64_VER6018666_20190611R.zip", but the problem remained. I followed all the steps from the page 1 from this thread and nothing fixed the problem.

After try a lot, I found a workaround: if I go in Services and change the Nahimic service from "Automatic" to "Automatic (Delayed Start)", after about 3 minutes from Windows startup (when the delayed services are running), if I open the Realtek app and Sonic Studio 3 App, both works without problem. But if I let it on "Automatic", the Realtek app get stuck on the splash screen.

If anyone knows how I can fix that issue properly, I appreciate the help.

PS.: I using the Windows 10 1803.

A capture showing the problem:
