Bullguard Internet Security Issues/opinions

Hey as you know Asus offers a free year of Bullguard with their motherboards. Has anyone actually seen Bulllguard catch any Virus, Trojans, Pups or anything?

My subscription expires in 5 days and I have not seen it do anything in the past year except annoy the crap out me. Perhaps not finding malware is a good thing but BG has been showing a delayed popup on my screen at boot for the last 30 days and their is NO way to click the box and make it not come back again. I get it they are desperate for subscriptions but I dont want them begging for money or need reminded EVERY time I reboot my PC, I even contacted them & they admitted their is no way to get rid of the solicitations, aside from uninstalling I suspose which I have been considering.

I guess I will just let it run its course now & proceed with Defender, If I subscribe to AV it wont be Bullguard!

Anybody have issues with Bullguard, or using a different or better AV, or just using Windows Defender? Please comment

Hi sdmf74,

All I use is windows defender, it's good enough for me and isn't heavy on resources.

Yeah I think as long as you use common sense & be careful it should be adequate. I just remembered that my
my internet provider Mediacommunists offer free Total Defense AV but I looked it up & its rated like 3 stars by most
reviews, if those can even be trusted so I think Im gonna stick with Defender as well
