If it's a privately owned/managed forum, the owner/admins can ban anyone for any reason; and, no one is legally obligated to inform any banned individual why he/she was banned.
That said, it should be considered a courtesy, even gentlemanly, to inform a banned person of the reason.
I will state, also, that while every human is entitled to have an 'opinion,' you are not entitled to share it. Back to the 'ban anyone for any reason' bit, if you post something that the forum owner/moderator/admin doesn't want posted, you can be banned for no other reason.
If you come here looking for justification in whatever got you banned from the other forum, I doubt you'll see much.

Edit: I would like to add: a tech forum is not a place for opinions - it is a place for tech questions and answers. Philosophy and 'opinions' belong in the public house.
