What we are seeing is a Maximus VI Extreme that is not E-ATX 12x10.6inches, it's just standard ATX, that's disappointing enough. When the details do emerge there may be even more missing on the board not retained from the great Maximus V Extreme. Who knows.

Let's just hope two more boards will be announced the Maximus VI Formula with hybrid-cooling and a fully-featured and full size brand-new Maximus board. I just called it the Maximus VI Boss for giggles, actually I hope they call it the MeanBruce Edition. 😛

I don't mind if they have a new board called the Hero, I hope ASUS expands the Maximus line from 3 boards to 5. You will make so many more people happy that way and get more enthusiasts buying ROG, always a good thing.

Gene, Hero, Formula, Extreme and The Boss, hahahaha five Maximus boards would be pure awesomeness, especially since we missed a Rampage and who knows when we'll see a true Rampage V X89.

Let the Maximus line carry the flag for awhile. 🙂

theres a difference between a board that points it's finger at you and yells, "if you do that again so help me God I'll beat you till you can't sit down!"....oh wait maybe we're on to something. Motherlyboards that discipline for hitting the wrong key, bunny hopping, and being a noob! JACKPOT!

I just thought of this, if it was called "the boss" it'd have to come a small c4 block somewhere on it, and everytime you did something it didnt agree with even if it was lil teeny tiny, BOOM!!!!!!! it blows up makes a mess and gets you all flustered.... wait. scratch that, thats the P.M.S. board.

Seems the Z87 boards, well, at least one of them has an interesting or perhaps strange new feature...and it's not on a ROG Board that I could see. ASUS has dubbed it the "VCORE Card" it's featured on the Z87I Deluxe Motherboard.

Nah Z, that's just the regular ASUS boards, not the ROG ones...trust me, those are still black and red 😄
