So there is a check in EZflash that prevents older BIOS versions from being flashed over newer versions?

This is starting to look a little suspicious. I asked ASUS customer service about which BIOS to use when overclocking dual core processors. Here is a guide for flashing older BIOS but it looks risky.

ASUS customer service replied to my question about overclocking dual core processors, they said "the option to change the BCLK is part of the BIOS and always present there regardless of BIOS version." So there is no lockout for non K chips (in the ASUS BIOS).

Settings must be incompatible with your hardware, check ring ratio etc, might also be memory speed related, I haven't tried yet I'm still building.
