Hi,
I need your help. During cold start I have a problem with booting. The matherboard shows "b4" error code and PC not posting - black screen. The solution is that I need to with off, wait few seconds and turn on PC and then system booting normally.
To USB I have connected to USB keyboard, mouse and Logitech camera. No more.
I tred to exchange USB plugs - still the same problem. I've contacted with Asus support - they advised to disable USB latency in BIOS - I did but still I have the problem.
I noticed that in previous bios (1403) It was not so often that with new bios 1503.
Please help how to solve / what switch off in BIOS or other settings to not have "b4" error.

Hi @Daniel_DGPL
1. Please clear the CMOS using the button on the motherboard's rear IO panel.
2. Does the issue persist at optimised defaults with XMP overclocking disabled?
3. Remove all internal USB headers from the motherboard.
4. Remove all USB devices from the motherboard rear I/O panel.
Report back if issue still persists.

1 - Done 3 times and problem still exist
2- Problem exist with XMP enabled and disabled.
3 - do you mean disconnect all USB connections connected directly to motherboard? - I need them any way to have ports available.
4 - Should I remove mouse and keyboard? - I do not wand every time disconnect and connect.
What is the solution for point 3,4 if this is really the issue?
As I mentioned with bios 1402 it was happened maybe once during one month. with bios 1503 this happen everyday during cold start.

For troubleshooting, yes, remove ALL USB devices including the keyboard and mouse.
Disconnect all internal USB headers.
Keep in mind this is for diagnostics - keep the devices and headers disconnected is not a resolution.

Hi do finally what I learned
I have below devices:
1) corsair keyboard k70 pro RBG where I can see consumption 900mA
2) Mouse corsair RBG - i do not know the consumption
3) Logitech webcam 4K bro
when connected Mouse and Keyboard - no hot USB / b4 code error
when i additionally connect webcam to USB matherboard then randomly i have b4 error code - event IF I Connect to other red USB socket.
question - on my matherboard in one line I have four blue USB ports. Does ech should have output 900mA or IF I Connect more devices then current goes down and then I have b4 error code? I cannot find in matherboard manual what is the each USB current output.
should I buy powered USB hub to Connect webcam without b4 code issue?
I have also powered USB avaliable on monitor so maybe it will be a solution…
