Hi everyone,
I’m posting here to see if anyone else has experienced a similar issue, or if someone has already found a solution.
On my system, whenever Bongiovi Acoustics Render Effect is enabled, all system audio becomes completely muted.
(This includes YouTube, games, and system sounds.)
As soon as I disable the render effect, audio output immediately returns to normal.
The issue is 100% reproducible on my end.
Here’s what I’ve already checked:
At this point, I’m trying to figure out whether this is:
If anyone:
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience.
Even small details could be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

If the unit is from razer please contact razer. Even that the driver is 3th party, they have to check what is going on. Until today, and after the implementation done 3 years ago, has not stop working. The settings on ac is 100% operational. Please note the windows read that the app supply. once is off the device goes to default, mean windows take over. has to be on device default effect so talk to the app that control the settings.
The app did check a issue a new year eve the fist year but they fix it 3 days cause the holidays.
I use asus theta 7.1, drivers, that are supply by armory crate once a asus is plug. is working fine. no disconnection when is on use.
wait until they solve the issue. cheers

I’ve already explained this in the main post. I contacted Razer support, but they told me that it is not an issue on their side and advised me to contact Bongiovi Acoustics Render Effect instead.

windows does not push that codex. the codex is push by the oem that support it. unless you have a asus heaphones (USB) and depends on the device you have that one or the old one. On pc USB audio are supply by ms generic codex. then on top the one oem use to power the dac or audio solution. not the other way. There was a time windows did it and they cut that since cause issues but that was 3 years ago.
I remember cause on old cases done by me, ask that question. and i find out that windows was pushing stuff they doe not support on those days. so they take out that. 100% sure.
Unless asus push something new on 800 amd chipset or 800 intel chipset board audio solution (and yes is usb ) is out of my reach i am on 600 and 700 intel chipsets boards here. The codex ONLY, untill someone profe me I am wrong, comes on audio usb heaphones solutions. not on boards. I will know soon since i am waiting on parts to rebuild one of the render machines since one kill itself on process. is ok. those pc render 24/6. for 3 years none stop. when that happens i will sit and check at close.

If you look at the linked page, ASUS support staff also mention issues related to the “Bongiovi Acoustics Render Effect,” and there are cases shared by other users describing similar problems.

after multiple install since January i have no issues on the codex. In fact i have no Realtek audio drivers installed. the audio is NOT comes with windows. comes from a app that use a specific. example if you have a headphones, let use my case, the asus theta 7.1 windows does not install anything. just middle man called generic windows usb driver. once you install the app in my case armory crate does install the codex to power the headphones. after many test the codex with ac is working fine. Armory crate will not control install or execute a usb audio (headphones) that is 3th party one. even asus does not install that codex on boards. (usb audio is from intel chipset) since use another codex. the why on your case is doing that... no idea. i can dig a little on friends units that has razer but will take some time. razer lose ground here or i get one to test.
if you case you own a razer device they have to dig it. not asus.
similar problems is not my concern. similar can be anything btw. sorry if i am hard on my answers.
is simple
