Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on upgrading my gaming rig, and I'm considering adding some high-speed storage for better performance, especially when dealing with large game files and modding. I've been looking into SAS 12Gbps hard drives and found some interesting options over at Internet .
I know SAS drives are typically used in enterprise setups, but I'm curious if anyone here has experience using them in a gaming PC? My questions are:
Looking forward to your insights!
Thanks in advance!

SAS 12Gbps drives can be a beast for large files and heavy workloads, jackhicks121. If you deal with a lot of modding, they might be worth considering.
Just keep in mind a few things:
For pure gaming performance, a good NVMe might be a more cost-effective option. But hey, if you're up for the challenge, SAS could be a cool experiment.

Integrating SAS 12Gbps drives with your ASUS ROG setup may require a compatible SAS controller. Similarly, in Traffic Rider Mod APK with all levels unlocked, you need a stable mod version for optimal performance. Ensuring compatibility in both setups—hardware or game mods—enhances speed, efficiency, and the overall user. @jackhicks121 @Merent experience.

I’ve messed around with SAS drives in my gaming rig before. You’ll need a SAS controller card since most gaming motherboards don’t support them directly. As for speed, SAS drives are quick, but NVMe SSDs usually give you better performance for gaming. Also, SAS drives can run hotter, so make sure your case has decent airflow to keep things cool.
For gaming, I’d personally go with NVMe SSDs for the best experience. SAS drives are awesome for heavy-duty storage tasks but might be a bit much just for gaming.
