Hi everyone,

I just built a computer two weeks ago and ive been following some of the tech savy stuff on this forum for overclocking. Ive been successful in safely overclocknig to 4.2 Ghz and thats good enough for me but I have another modification Id like to make softwarewise.

The Windows 8.1 boot logo seen during loading of windows, Id like to change this to a custom logo. I've been trying out different ASUS ROG style logos with some modifications through a program called 8oot Logo Changer. Its a simple tool that does all the Command Prompts needed to change over the bootres.dll file to a custom one.

Now Ive seen videos of it functioning correctly on Youtube for windows 8.1, but I havent been succesful myself yet. I can only seem to make the windows logo dissappear entirely...

Yes, I turned TESTSIGNING on. Still no workie. Now I am able to switch the Windows boot logo back on. Simply Im trying to get a ROG logo for my windows loading screen like the ROG laptops.

I have also tried manually changing the logo through Command Prompt (Admin). I get the same result. What am I doing wrong? Anyone have any experience with this neat little tool? Anyone successfully change there boot logo?

Soooo nobody has tried to change their windows splash logo during boot? Really? I didnt think Id be the only one that wants to has a ROG logo on their computer like the ROG laptops... Heck not a single person has even looked at this thread, Maybe if I put Hi Im a new girl in my thread title, people will look at this.

i dont even know why Im writing this reply anyway, nobodies going to see it. Im pretty much writing a reply so that my future self can read it and say "yeah that was a waste of time asking people on this forum about that topic."

Can a Mod move this thread to the ASUS software technical section? Its not ASUS software but its a program and there is not general software section for technical discussion.
