Tuf Gaming 3080 ti on x570E Gaming - "VGA" mode issues

Strange issue on an upgrade to an existing PC, Asus X570E Gaming, Ryzen 9 5900, 64GB. It has had an MSI 2060 Super in it all working fine, with DisplayPort connection into a Samsung CRG90 49" widescreen.

I just installed the Tuf Gaming 3080 ti and while it boots, it will not initiate "VGA" mode on its way through BIOS, and the motherboard retains its white "VGA" boot issue LED lit all the time. If I connect over HDMI to the Samsung same issue happens.

If I connect to an old LG 27" monitor I have it works fine, initiates VGA mode, BIOS is accessible, and the PC boots fully without the VGA fail white LED lighting up.

I'm at a bit of a loss to work out what the issue is, whether it's the card, the motherboard or the monitor. Anyone got any ideas?

same problem after I switched my evga 1080 with tuf 3080ti oc edition. Everytime I start my pc from cold boot I get stuck at Load VGA bios on my Zenith Extreme II alpha. I was able load to windows after several reset. But today, it didn't work anymore. It load windows then blank screen. I'm force to switch back to my evga 1080. I just I will just Exchange for another one if there one avaiable since there no refund 😞

I have to disable the resize bar in order for window to load (sometime). It requires several reset before I see Windows then blank screen. I have shut it down and restart again. Once windows completely loaded in couple minutes, my computer reboot. Here's the mini dump if anyone interested:

I went back to pc store with my pc. they were able to replicate the issue from what i'm experience. They swap with 20 series and it load fine then they swap with tuf 3090 experience the same issue. Note my monitor and their monitor all using hdmi only at 60hz. When they do clear cmos it seems to work, they explain that it maybe due my previous setup since 1080 is gen3 while 3080ti is gen4. But I recalled that pcix is set to auto. Anyways, it seems only away to goto windows is do cmos reset (good thing my mb has cmos reset button) if i encounter load vga bios. This is annoying since i shutdown my pc after i'm done with my work every night -_-

Yup, I'm also waiting for this fix - it's getting really annoying...

3 weeks since Nvidia advised VBIOS provided to AIB partners... and 2 weeks after EVGA released it to end users (and it fixes the issue).

VBIOS update issued, installed and problem now resolved. VBIOS updates are available for the 3080 Tis from the Asus support pages.

No solution for TUF-RTX3080-O10G then?
