ROG STRIX Z490-I Gaming

Hello,

Is there any possibility that ASUS would modify the BIOS for this board to support Rocket Lake CPUs, namely the 11600K, without PCIe 4 support? Not worried about PCIe 4 which is probably why the board never got updated but if a small microcode update could be made so I can boot an 11600K I would greatly appreciate it. I happened across an open box deal for $160 that I couldn't resist. I would insert it into my Plex server but it would be a waste which is compatible with the Rocket Lake CPUs and I hate to buy another motherboard to replace the Z490-i.

Regards,

Jay

Hi trinergy_,
I'm afraid I didn't get the news to support Rocket Lake CPUs on ROG STRIX Z490-I Gaming.
If you want to use Rocket Lake CPUs, I suggest use the motherboard which is Rocket Lake CPUs supported in our qvl list.
Thank you.
