I have installed this vbios update that is already available at ASUS website as hotfix but seems did not make any difference at all.

The PC still reboot as usual after I quit playing World of Tanks. However, does not happen when I play Fallout 76.

ASUS UK promised this December we should get BIOS update that will fix the reboots issue:

All of us do...

New BIOS 316 released internally, not yet on public ASUS product page.
We are testing it in Discord Server https://discord.gg/66TQ7nXp

We will update on results!

Disclaimer: Any testing of a software/bios that not yet officially released, at your own risk.

@Blake..

The service center has completed the board replacement , but to no success.

They called me an hour ago . Said that the issue was still persistent in their internal testing Even after board replacement.

The service center has no idea what to do.. the customer care doesn't know what to do...

What should people like me who has already lost a month of their time , work and money do ?

Just did some Lightroom work, and closed it. Usually it's a guaranteed reboot, but hasn't yet!

Blake can ASUS GLOBAL confirm this please?

Thank you.

I love how even the support team in a single country don't all know about something.

I've been talking to Asus UK and the person I was speaking to had no idea this was even an issue. Although they were as helpful as possible, I can't fault them there.

This worked for me - Kind of.

So after flashing the bios listed in this post - I continued to have random crashes. That's when someone suggested stressing my cpu, memory and gpu to determine the weakest link in the chain. The GPU didn't fail the stress test despite undervolting to -0.0250 on more power tools. But the CPU was failing over and over with the system crashing within seconds of the stress test....so was the ram. My ram was not stock, and I had upgraded to Oloy 32 gb 3200 MHz CL18 from Amazon. Even at stock settings my CPU was unstable - it was likely the memory that was unstable. I switched out to the stock ram and voila - no gaming/load crashes or idle crashes anymore even with the CPU undervolted to -20 on the curve with AATU. It's now boosting to 5.1 ghz!!!

If your laptop has continued to crash after updating to this vbios - stress your laptop with OCCT - especially the memory - all the more reason if you have upgraded the memory from stock.

FYI I am on bios 316.
