PG42UQ: Loud pop and artifacts w/ original power cord.

The PG42UQ loudly pops and shuts off when using the included power cable. Before recording, the screen began to have horizontal artifacts. This issue was present with HDMI and display port cables and was only resolved using an aftermarket power cable.

Hrmm, maybe a bad ground? If you own a multimeter I would test continuity on the ground pin. If there's a break in the wiring you should cut that cord and throw it away so that neither you nor anyone else uses it.

I'm afraid the warranty does not cover bundled accessories, which were delivered together with the Product such as cables. If you bought the monitor recently, please consult the retailer to see if can get it replaced.

I had the same EXACT issue. It is the bundles DP cable. Switch that out and it should resolve this issue.
