My keyboard is lit up but is unresponsive when typing. i restarted my laptop and uninstalled in device manager. Any help is appreciated. ps. i typed this with the onscreen keyboard.

I apologize for the late reply. Separate keyboards worked. I took apart my laptop and resocketed the ribbon cable for the keyboard and it seems to be working since. I sent my laptop to ASUS last year with this issue and they never told me what they did besides reset windows but they definitely opened it up since there was a different screw in the bottom of my laptop. Hopefully everything is good now.
