To answer your question about replacing the SSD's. I replaced the two Intel 760p series 256GB (SSDPEKKW256GB) with the same series but with the 512GB variant (SSDPEKKW512GB) (fw:005C). And I added a Samsung SSD 970 Pro 512GB. All 3 SSD's are in RAID 0 (data-stripe: 128KB, fysical and logical sectors: 512 Bytes)

I also replaced the harddrive with a 2 TB Samsung SSD 850 Pro.

This is all very straight forward in my opinion and experience.

I haven't made any changes to the laptop.

Internal NVMe
1 x 512GB 980 Pro - Operating System
2 x 1TB 980 SSD
1 x 2TB 860 QVO

External NVMe - ASUS USB C Interface
2 x 512GB 980 Pro

All but the OS drive are members of a Microsoft Storage Space.
I have tried removing all drives but the OS, and attempted the upgrade to both Win 10 21H2 and Win 11. The problems persist with only the 1 drive.

PM'd u my S/N.

With regards to SSD, I did replace 1 of the 3 NVMEs with a 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus. RAID 0 the other 2 intel NVMEs where my OS is located. And added 1 SATA 1TB Samsung 850 EVO.

I already have Windows 10 21H1 installed. Has anyone had success updating to Windows 11 from 21H1 with a ROG G703GXR?

Windows 10 21H1 runs fine. Windows 10 21H2 cannot be installed (I have not tried that) and Windows 11 cannot be installed.

Tried to install Windows 10 21H2 from Windows Insider Program and it works fine. But when I tried to do the same with Win11 it stuck on boot (ROG logo)
