Hi Blake,

I have the same G703GXR laptop. It does not boot into Windows 11 after an update through Windows Update. It boots till the Asus ROG logo. No spinning wheel. After a hard power down it reverts back to Windows 10 Pro, 21H1, Build 19043.1288, Windows Feature Pack 120.2212.3920.0.

Hello Battleskar,
The G703GX has no issue with the BIOS version.
But GX and GXR is having different BIOS, I have asked the technical support to pay attention to see if BIOS really make the difference of this upgrade.

The BIOS version you tested was something 9 versions old, 304 instead of 313. The BIOS needs to be current and re-tested, otherwise your test results are at a minimum, a false positive.
I shouldn't have had to point the downlevel BIOS mistake out to a veteran troubleshooting specialist.

Having the same exact problems as you all.

Hope Asus sorts this out, I am not having good results contacting the support channels.

These delays are exactly why I reached out over 2 months ago to get ASUS started on a fix.
ASUS refused to even consider the platform until *AFTER* Windows 11 was released.
ASUS's problems are only going to escalate when Windows 10 21H2 is released, as 21H2 has the exact same problem.

I am the proud owner of a Asus ROG G703GXR, but since I am also facing the same problem as every other G703 owner I am a little less proud. I am in no way possible to install Windows 11. Not by updating through Windows Update, not by the Windows update assistant and not even with a clean install from USB-stick.

I can only say/ask: Please solve this problem, it seems kinda sad that an expensive device like this gaming laptop is unable to update/upgrade to Windows 11!!
