Fed up with the ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING WIFI audio problems and no communication.

Dear Asus

I'll get straight to it, the Z590 asus motherboard line up has consistant issues with it's audio drivers. There is a delay on waking up, there is a chance for random static to blast my ear drums and it's been 3 months since I reported it via a ticket. https://youtu.be/kiMFy8PxMqA?t=123 Like this video I just linked (which isn't made by me) the audio will randomly break when waking up killing my eardrums.

I've sent multiple emails to ASUS that were forwarded to HQ eventually acknowledging these problems and being promised new drivers on the 13th of July, it's now been two months and nothing so far and I'd say this is quite a big problem? When can I expect new drivers to resolve these issues?

Kind regards.

Hi Rocket Scientist,

For mouse hang and Nvidia graphics card driver crash, could you please open a new post for better discussion?
Thank you.

To be honest - NO! I'm tired to do someone's job for free + take in account the money I've paid for purchased product.
Seriously. I've done what I have to - purchased product. Rest - is up to ASUS support. You are should digging this, not we.
Don't get me wrong. I know this is not your fault, but this is not my work either. I spent 2 months trying to detect and solve this issue instead of enjoy purchased product.
I leave a last post in this particular thread - what happens if to do the same switching with discrete sound card (Creative AE-7). There is no static noise (obviously) but sound cuts and mouse hang are there.
Seems like this is not only ALC4080 problem anymore but chipset.

Hi Rocket Scientist,

I'm sorry I don't see mouse hang in the following video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHLJrZwU-_w
Could you please help to check when did mouse hang in the video?
Is the bios version 1007?
May I have the following information?
- the serial number of your motherboard via PM
- the brand and the model name of your CPU, RAM, VGA, PSU, speaker and mouse
(Please check the specific model name of RAM such as CORSAIR CMK16GX4M2K4800C18)
- OS version and OS build
- the version of DIP5
Thank you.

Any new information? At this point it's obvious this isn't just my motherboard but related to the chip or drivers.

I'm hoping that this eventually gets fixed soon. When I first got the motherboard, it was blasting loud ass static for like an hour or two after restarting my PC, and I got tired of it so quickly. I was so close to buying a sound card just so I can have working SPDIF audio, but Asus was able to release a firmware update that fixed that issue for me. But I think some people still have this issue with USB audio.

However, I've recently been getting more agitated when I try to play a YouTube video and I have to keep rewinding the video back to the start, until sound starts playing. Or when I join a Discord channel with my friends, and their icons are lighting up because they're greeting me or they're briefing me on what's going on recently, and I'm just there waiting until audio starts playing and I can tell them to repeat what they said.

Asus please.

If the YouTube scenario is not enough, I beg you to try joining a Discord channel with your boys and wait 5 seconds for the audio to start working, just to tell your boys to repeat whatever they were saying to you in that time frame. Every time!

Hi randomdud3213,

Do you face the issue while SPDIF or analog audio output?
May I have the model name, bios version and audio driver version?
Could you please record a video about how you did and faced the issues in youtube and discord?
Thank you.

I'm getting the issue while using SPDIF/

I'm using a ROG STRIX Z590-E mobo, bios version 0902, and Realtek USB Audio 6.3.9600.2276.

I'm not able to record a video at the moment since I'd have to hold my phone up to my headset. This issue happens on any program, software, or browser. I could be watching a twitch stream and it would happen. Even the Windows notification sounds don't come up most of the time since it takes a few seconds for the sound to start picking up, and when it does the windows sound has already finished playing.

Basically if there's no audio playing, and you decide to start playing audio. It takes a few seconds for the audio to start playing or to wake up, and then it pickups up at the audio that is going on at whatever timestamp your video is on.
