Hello Folks,
ive got some sporadic boot problems with my new PC and i really hope you can help me find a solution 🙂
Setup:
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
Crosshair X670E Hero
G.Skill 2 x 16 GB DDR5 (EXPO = 6000MHz 32 - 38 - 38 - 96)
Problem:
Every 5th or 6th boot does not get to the Windows Login Screen.
Instead, the PC just freezes staing somewere between Q-Code 32 and 36 wich means "CPU post memory initialisation".
What i found out so far:
- the problem occurs, with the EXPO-Profile loaded (doenst matter wich one)
- the problem does not occur, when the RAM-Setting is on "AUTO"
- i assume, that the problem does not come from the RAM-Kit itself since I tested 3 different kits now, one of them can be found on the QVL list of the Motherboard
Additional info:
G.Skill F5-6000J3238F16GX2-TZ5NR was used (2 different Kits of 2 x 16 GB)
G.Skill F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5NR was used (1 different Kit of 2 x 16 GB)
With every RAM-Kit is used, i did 25 Bootups without EXPO and 25 Bootups with EXPO.
The ones without EXPO-Profile did not show a single freeze and the BOOT-Time seems roughly about 25 sec.
Approximatly 20 % of the boot attempts with loaded EXPO Profile failed => PC freezes Q-Code 32 - 36
Rarely , like 1 out of 10 times of those failed boot attempts, the PC restarts by itself and after 4 minuits after the i
nitial attempt of starting the PC, the Windows Login Screen appears.
I am hoping to find some answers in here because im really desperate on how to fix the problem.
Maybe someone is expiriencing the same problems ?
Maybe got a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Sven
