Crosshair hero viii wifi startup issue

So, it seems that after a shutdown or sleep my mb can't startup. I have to turn off the PSU until all mb leds are off and then turn it back on to get a post.
When this issue happens, the start button led doesn't turn off after shutdown, even in stealth mode.
Tried many BIOSes, right now I'm on 4201
After some search, it seems to be related to the issue on this thread

My specs
CROSSHAIR HERO VIII WIFI (the non dark model)
Ryzen 9 5900X
G.Skill F4-3200C14D-32GTZR
RTX 3090 TUF
Corsair RM1000i

Yea its genuinely confusing. If I clear CMOS, then the PC would turn on with the slightest tap on the power button, no need to disconnect anything or any long presses on the power button with continuous clicking sounds. After that, even without touching any of the bios settings and leaving everything at default, the PC won't turn on normally again, or turn on from sleep. Just mind boggling!

Yeah well, I've returned my board today for a full refund from the retailer. I wish they had other ones though. If Asus Customer Support were more prompt in replying to my emails, instead of literally giving me just generic replies then maybe I would've had time to return the board and get a replacement instead of now ordering it from Amazon and needing to wait 10-14 days for it to arrive.
