ASUS 3080 STRIX dead

I have a problem with my 3080 strix purchased on asus eshop.


Indeed, while I was playing assassin's creed valhalla, my computer shut down.


I was checking the temperatures and they were only 66 Degrees C for the 3080. I checked everything and did cross tests and it came from the graphic card.


Indeed when I connect an 8PINS cable to the right port the PC doesn't boot, while with the first 2 connected the PC turns on.


Since I received it, I had no problem, everything was working perfectly, the card was connected directly to the pcie port and not a ryzer to a rm1000x with 3 different pcis cables and authentic as advised and has never been overlocked or disassembled. I tested all my pci cables, tested another power supply and they all work. As soon as a cable is connected to the 8pins on the right, the PC does not start. With the first 2, yes, but not enough power to use my PC.


For info I have a 5900x on one crosshair viii and 32 gb 3600 cl 16 and one rm1000x. What should I do because given the shortage and the price of the card and not having another one and Being a teleworker I don't know what to do.

Taking into account your details, please note that it is mainly a hardware problem with the graphics card.

In this case, we invite you to contact your dealer, who will be able to test your hardware and send it for repair.

Regarding the return of your graphics card, we would like to inform you that we do not send the components for repair directly through Asus, but only up the original sales chain:

Customer >> Reseller >> Wholesaler >> Repair Center.

Therefore, please contact the reseller/wholesaler to check the product and send it to the workshop.

The warranty of your graphic card is provided by the reseller for a period of 3 years.

We remain at your disposal, Mr. XXX, for any further questions.

In case of answer, please keep the history of our e-mail exchanges for this request.

if you bought it from the ASUS eshop, ASUS should be the one to handle it. I'm going to escalate this to an ASUS forum administrator.

I sent it to SilentScone@ROG and he is not on at the moment, so I can't guarantee when he'll reply but he should within 24 hours or less.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me as I don't have a spare gpu , i sold my 1080TI for to buy the 3080 and being teleworking I'm financially in a precarious situation because I don't have a computer to do my work.
