Z590-P XMP does not work with two sticks of RAM but works fine with four sticks

As the title says.
Ram is Corsair DDR4 3600MHz Part# CMK16GX4M2B3200C16

CPU is i7 10700K
XMP Works fine with 4 modules installed but does not work with two modules installed.
XMP off works either way.

Is this a known issue or Limitation?

Seems that I may have run into this with other types of boards/chipsets at different times but this is the first time I have noticed that installing 4 modules fixes the issue.

Use the A2 & B2 for 2 sticks

OK- I feel stupid now.
Didn't try it yet but I'm pretty sure that will work.
Geez.
The manual even says to do this in two module configuration.
