Hello,
I had in the past the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB 3000MHz C15 (CMW16GX4M2C3000C15)and I wanted to upgrade to the same version but with 4000 MHz (CMW16GX4M2K4000C19) instead,
as advertized by ASUS, this mainboard, the
Asus ROG Strix Z370-F-GAMING, can support up to 4000 MHz RAM OC. But, it does not. False advertizing, ASUS. I am disappointed.
As to talk about the QVL, my 3000 MHz RAM wasn't even listed but it has still worked. They only support old ugly red Corsair ram and some G Skill Trident Z at 4000 MHz.
I have contacted the Asus Support to ask to add these in the QVL and release a newer BIOS for this. I hope it will fix it. Meanwhile, I am running this RAM at 3900MHz. 1951,4 MHz for each stick.
That would be much more interesting, satifsying, logical to be able to run these sticks at 2000 MHz each.
Come on Asus, do something.
