Xtu overclock not changing bios

I'm new to overclocking I just built my first pc a few weeks ago. So as the tittle says when I overclocked in xtu it doesn't change the bios still says the default frequency, ratio and voltage for my CPU, is there a solution to this or did I do something wrong? I have 3D Mark and the cpu test shows my frequency to what I overclocked it to

Hi soggywaflezz

Welcome to the ROG forum.

You want to do your overclocking within the bios to save the settings, XTU likely overclocks until you close it or reboot.

You're not doing anything wrong. 🙂

Okay thanks for the quick reply, ill try to overclock in bios, do i keep the xmp setting on or change that to manual?

If your pc is stable with XMP enabled you can let it on XMP to do your overclocking, if you switch to manual you'll just need to enter your ram specs manually which is easy to do.

cool, thanks man
