Heys guys
I have the Crosshair V Formula-Z, and FX 9590 CPU With the Viper 3 Series, Jungle Green, DDR3 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1866MHz Kit (PV316G186C0KGN)
When I set the XMP Profile I get a blue screen with the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error. I noticed that one of the settings that gets changed is CPU Ratio to 23.5 when I enable the XMP profile. If I manually adjust the timings without changing the CPU ratio I don't get theC LOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error. I contacted Asus about this the person I spoke to said the problem might be the memory. That my CPU might not be reading the memory timings correctly. Just to add I get this error while installing Windows 8.1 Pro. I get to about 10% of the install then the installation freezes and then the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error. Is it the RAM or CPU?

Hello

You may need to set the timings manually. According to Patriot the PV316G186C0KGN kit has only been tested/validated for Intel systems.
