Ok guys I was looking up ssd's to put in my ASUS G75VW-BBK5 running windows8 pro, and I was wondering if this ssd would increase performance and make it faster: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00691WMJG/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new . Also how would I install one and keep everything on my hardrive like the operating system and everything I downloaded and move it to there.

Hi Techinstein,

Does your laptop have room for two drives or just the one. If two maybe you should consider getting a straight SSD installing your OS fresh on that and keeping other files on the HDD. If you have space for just one disk then that hybrid would probably speed you up a bit and give you decent storage size. For transfering your setup from one drive to the other you have to use some sort of cloning software that will make an image of your current drive that you can move to the new one. I am a fresh install fan so I don't use these programs but someone will be along who can recommend one.....

EDIT: Here is a pretty good guide....http://www.pagestart.com/win7bckuprstrnhd072610.html

your link shows an ssd hybrid.. hmmmm.. i think it would be better if you will just buy a "full-time" SSD as it can offer you more power saving features and probably reliablity on data (during drops, etc.).
