Worthless Laptop?

So I've had my laptop (g73sw) repaired.. I think 3? or 4? times now, the first was for a GPU failure within a month of bought, and the second was due to black screen boots and occasional hard-reboots which I am still not sure if its fixed yet, and now barely a month after the last repair the ethernet is completely defunct.

Fail to perform MAC loopback action.
Fail to perform PHY Loopback action.
Resource conflicts with other device.
FIFO buffers test fail.

Is it just me or is ASUS just getting terrible?

Trust me I've tried every way of talking to them, unfortunately email rarely gets me further then some copy pasted bull**** responses, and the phone support really isn't any better with how little they actually know about whats going on considering ASUS seems to outsource the repairs even when its sent literally straight to their facilities.

Omg wow you must be dealing with morons by sound of it.

Just don't give up on them. Shame you don't live near them lol I would be at there necks by now.

Are you with asus uk or some other as I have no problems dealing with them when I need to.

ASUS US Support line.

And yeah, if I lived near them though I wouldn't have need for a laptop because I would probably be serving a sentence for going there with the laptop and clubbing them with it. (It may not always work right but its still a heavy mofo) I feel unless I get can get a guarenteed 'intelligent' person on the other side of the conversation its going to be near hopeless.

Wonder if the forum Asus team can help you at all seems your dealing with eejits.

Worth a shot. You could try speaking to them. Send a pm to hiviz asking him who to contact on forum then see if they can deal with it.

The only thing that is blatantly obvious to me now is that, my next laptop won't be an ASUS, I can't deal with this BS in the future when I get more into professional programming and all.

Funny I have the exact same issue on my G73SW with everything running at stock and nothing overheating.

1. Ethernet randomly disappears
2. Blackouts and reboots
3. USB 3 disconnects

I took in in and told the techs its most likely a Motherboard issue and all they did was re-image it.

It's a hard one to reproduce as it happens so randomly for me. But as soon as my new Machine comes in I will be sending this back for a 2nd repair and demand that the main board be replaced.
