When will the new AM3+ ROG board debut?

As you know, AMD is soon to release Bulldozer (4-8 core chips) next year (2011). I am wondering what does ASUS ROG have in line for AMD chipset? Will it have 2 ROG board like the 890FX chipsets this year? Or will it be more than 2? Will it ever release a m-ATX version for the new socket AM3+?

I did see that ASUS have prepared a board for the Sandy Bridge (Maximus IV Extreme).

I am really excited for next year, because of the rapid changes in technology we have today.

Thanks if you can reply.

since it's on the same socket I don't think we are gonna see a new board. Unless a new chipset arrive. Probably just a new bios to support bulldozer CPU. We are more likely to see a new board on the next AMD socket in 2012 which is supose to be a LGA socket like the opteron CPU.

Not really. Bulldozer will not work in AM3 sockets. But AM3 CPUs will work in AM3+ sockets with a bios update. It was rumor/confirmed by JF_AMD.

I don't know about AMD going LGA socket. There's no news on that as far as I know. They still want to keep it PGA.

Thanks for the reply though.

That's hard to say, last I eard about it it was on the same AM3 socket, then AMD talked about a backward compatilibity with AM3 and bios update. And now you can find info about the 3 so it's pretty hard to say. This is the original road map of bulldozer

But I may be wrong since thing can change over time.
