🙂I'm using a G73Jh which has a 2.0MP inbuilt webcam.
Now I'm wondering what the max. video resolution of this camera is. I've tried recording videos with it and it gave me 680x480. I used to have the generic Microsoft driver, then I looked through different Chicony drivers by Asus.
My Hardware ID (PID) says:
USB\VID_04F2&PID_B106&REV_8915&MI_00
USB\VID_04F2&PID_B106&MI_00
I'm using Version V061.005.200.450 on
http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Camera&p=3&os=30 right now and video resolution is still 680x480.
I video chat on Skype regularly and would love to have 720p. After all, this is a 2MP camera. Does anyone know if the max. video resolution really sits at only 680x480? My old 1.3MP hat 680x480 so I expected an upgrade from a 2.0MP camera. What good would it do me otherwise?
