Vertical GPU and Overclocking

Would having a vertical GPU (a pci extension cable connected) prevent me from obtaining XMP overclock? The default option prevents my board from POST'ing. I can't seem to get my RAM to 3200 speeds either.

I did decode an error from the error display on the board that seemed to point toward the pch. Would that mean it has something to do with my video card not being connected directly?

Thanks.

Easiest way to find out is set F5 defaults in bios and see if it fix's your issue, report back with your findings

Enter bios press F5 for all default settings no XMP and test, if you have other bios settings saved along with XMP save to a profile in tools section of bios first then you can return to your saved settings very easy
